Talking about the Indian side, the Boys in Blue qualified for the AFC U17 Asia Cup eight times successfully with their best performances coming in 2002 and 2018, where they reached the quarterfinals. 

The 10 group winners will guarantee themselves a spot in the competition, while the six best second-placed teams will also join them in 2023.
