The Bengaluru-NorthEast United tie had some drama after a fairly even game yesterday. After Gaztanaga’s goal was disallowed, the NorthEast United players and coach rushed up to the referees in protest.
As a result, NorthEast United FC Marco Balbul was sent off for dissent.
In response, Bengaluru FC Manager Simon Grayson expressed support for the decision-making process while also suggesting that improvement be prioritized.

Red Card! 87th minute: Jon Gaztanaga scored in injury time with a shot from outside the box that beat Gurpreet Singh Sandhu at his near post. The goal was ruled out as he ran away in celebration.
NorthEast United FC Manager Marcos Balbul was shown a red card as the players and staff gathered around the referee following the overturning.
